About your new role We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our café team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.
In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with the team to deliver a simple, quality food offering that perfectly complements our coffee.This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing great food, and is happy to jump in wherever needed.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with the team, and be confident working autonomously when required.
A day in the life A typical day could look like:Arriving bright and early and enjoying a coffee with the team before service beginsAssisting the Cafe Manager with food preparation for the day aheadWashing dishes and maintaining a clean, organised back-of-house areaEnsuring food safety, cleanliness and quality standards are upheld throughout the dayBaking sweet treats and toasting sandwichesPlating dishes and running the pass during serviceSupporting the front-of-house team on the floor or till when requiredHelping with stock organisation and general kitchen operationsPitching in wherever needed to keep the café running smoothlyAbout you You have a passion for great food, quality coffee and hospitality,
