About the Role
We are seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join a Market Systems team supporting and enhancing business-critical billing and metering applications.
This is a hands-on development role suited to a mid-level developer with approximately 5 years of experience who is confident working within established Oracle environments and existing PL/SQL codebases.
You will develop, maintain and enhance Oracle database solutions and PL/SQL applications, working across regulatory initiatives, platform enhancements and business-driven projects.
You'll work closely with developers, technical analysts, business analysts and delivery teams while also assisting with troubleshooting, defect resolution and production support.




The position provides an opportunity to work on important operational systems while a broader Billing Transformation Program delivers the organisation's future-state technology platform.
About You
Approximately 5 years' experience in Oracle/PLSQL development
Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers
Strong SQL development and database querying skills
Experience maintaining and enhancing existing production applications
Ability to troubleshoot defects and resolve complex database issues
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
Understanding of database design and Oracle database objects
Experience across development, testing, deployment and production support
UNIX/Linux or shell scripting experience advantageous
Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) experience advantageous
Utilities, energy, billing or metering experience highly regarded
Robust communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
