The RoleReporting directly to management, this is a hands-on and varied role encompassing accounts receivable, collections, banking reconciliations and general administration.
Working within a busy international freight environment, the business is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional who is looking for long-term stability and thrives in a team-oriented, close-knit team.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Raising and issuing invoices to clients accurately and in a timely mannerManaging the collections process - following up on outstanding accounts via phone and emailProcessing daily banking transactions and completing bank reconciliationsAllocating receipts and maintaining accurate debtor recordsLiaising with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve account queries and disputesProviding general administrative support to the operations and finance teamsData entry and maintenance of records within freight forwarding software systemsAssisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting as requiredCoordinating documentation and correspondence related to freight shipments The PersonDemonstrated experience in accounts receivable, collections and/or banking reconciliationsExperience within freight forwarding, logistics or a similar industry (advantageous)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsConfident and professional communicator - comfortable following up on overdue accountsAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities effectivelyA positive, reliable team player committed to the role long-termExposure to freight forwarding or logistics software (advantageous) About UsVeritas Recruitment recruits across multiple verticals, with industry-specific recruiters servicing a range of clients.
