About the Role
n
Lead a busy Emergency Department managing approximately 27,000 presentations annually. This role combines clinical practice with departmental leadership, including governance, service development, education and workforce growth. Approximately ***** hours per week is dedicated to leadership responsibilities. Suitable for FACEMs passionate about training, accreditation and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities
n
• Lead the Emergency Department and medical team
n
• Deliver expert emergency care
n
• Drive clinical governance and quality initiatives
n
• Oversee training, supervision and education programs
n
• Support service development and accreditation
n
• Participate in the on-call roster
n
Essential Criteria
n
• AHPRA Specialist Registration in Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
n




• Recent specialist ED experience
n
• Strong leadership and communication skills
n
• Commitment to teaching, quality improvement and patient safety
n
• Ability to participate in on-call requirements
n
