Strathfield South, Sydney NSW | 3 month contract | Electronics / Retail

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join an established Australian-owned consumer electronics and retail business on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for a full-time opportunity following the contract.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to a finance professional with robust accounting experience and Pronto ERP knowledge who can hit the ground running and support the finance team through a period of system integration.
Responsibilities n
n
Process Accounts Payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
n
Follow up and process supplier claims.
n
Manage new vendor account approvals and ongoing maintenance.
n
Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate stock variances.
n
Investigate purchasing price variances and identify discrepancies.
n
Investigate sales refunds and process payments.
n
Complete cash sales reconciliations.
n
Perform general ledger reconciliations.
n




Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.
n
Assist with the integration and reconciliation of financial data across systems.
n
Requirements n
n
Previous experience working as a Financial Accountant.
n
Pronto experience is essential.
n
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
n
CA/CPA qualification is advantageous.
n
Strong financial and analytical skills.
n
Experience with an ERP system, with Pronto highly desirable.
n
Experience using Xero, XPM and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and SUMIF.
n
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Available to start immediately.
n
