About The Role
As aDFR Nurse Officer, you'll be instrumental in conducting medical assessments and supporting candidate screening in line with Defence protocols.
The successful candidate will be based at Wollongong ADFCC on a part time basis working a five (5) day fortnight, Wednesday, Thursday and every second Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct telephone vetting and face-to-face preliminary assessments
Review medical history questionnaires and document findings in electronic health records
Provide support and guidance to Medical Screeners
Complete medical file reviews
Monitor and maintain clinical equipment used during assessments
Follow structured procedures within a defined Defence health framework
About You
You are a registered nurse with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in patient care and documentation.
Essential Criteria
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse




Minimum 3 years' broad clinical experience in a comparable health system
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident using electronic medical records and ICT systems
Current Working with Children Check
Current CPR certification (HLTAD009)
Australian Citizenship(mandatory for AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance)
Desirable
Experience working in a Defence or base setting
Background in pre-employment medicals or occupational health
