Finance and Accounts Officer
who is confident with
Xero
, understands the bookkeeping cycle through to month-end, and takes pride in accurate financial records and well-organised systems.

Your Impact
n
As our
Finance and Accounts Officer
, you'll manage the day-to-day financial administration across Optiva and its supported entities.
n
In this role you will:
n
Maintain
Xero
records, coding and financial documentation
n
Manage
accounts payable and receivable
, invoicing and suppliers
n
Process expenses, purchase orders and approved payments
n
Complete bank, credit card and supplier reconciliations
n
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
n
Complete
month-end bookkeeping
and prepare reports for external accountants
n
Manage finance administration through
Budgetly, Prezzee and Employment Hero
n
Prepare contractor superannuation information
n
Respond to finance enquiries and provide records as required
n
Identify practical improvements to financial processes




n
Our external accountants support
month-end review, BAS preparation and ATO matters
, while the CEO provides payment approval.
n
Where You'll Work
n
This is a
part-time position, 5 days per week, 4 hours per day. Work From Home Gold Coast Based role.
n
You'll work directly with the CEO and broader team, with the autonomy to manage your responsibilities and contribute to improving financial processes.
n
What You Bring
n
We're looking for someone with
strong bookkeeping capability, sound judgement and a high level of accuracy.
n
You'll bring:
n
3+ years' hands-on bookkeeping experience, including month-end
n
Strong Xero experience across AP, AR, invoicing and reconciliations
n
Experience investigating discrepancies and resolving issues
n
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
n
Clear communication with accountants, suppliers and colleagues
n
A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
n
Ability to work independently
n
High standards of confidentiality and financial integrity
n
A relevant qualification in
Accounting, Bookkeeping,



Finance or Business Administration
is desirable.
n
You'll also need:

Current National Police Check
n
Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
n
