Job Description
We're seeking a full-time
Social Media Account Manager
to own an assigned portfolio of client accounts.
n
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to schedule posts from a completed content calendar. You'll be the day-to-day face of AGSOCIAL for your clients, the person who builds the plan, creates and coordinates the content, keeps delivery moving and earns the client's trust.
n
It's a relationship role and a production role in equal measure.
n
You'll translate strategy into scheduled, on-brand content; run client check-ins; identify opportunities; report on performance; and flag risks or scope issues before they become problems.
n
The role is ideally based in
Perth or WA's Wheatbelt
, with a hybrid working rhythm shaped around client and team needs. Regular travel throughout regional Western Australia is an essential part of the position.
Key Responsibilities - Client and Account Leadership
n
n
Own the day-to-day relationship for an assigned portfolio of client accounts.
n
Run regular client check-ins covering performance, upcoming activity and emerging issues.
n
Build trusted relationships through clear communication, reliability and proactive advice.
n
Identify scope creep and out-of-scope requests early and apply AGSOCIAL's agreed response process.
n
Flag at-risk accounts or client dissatisfaction before they become larger problems.
n
Support the onboarding of new clients joining your portfolio.
n
Strategy and Content Direction
n
n
Maintain and evolve each client's content strategy within their agreed plan.
n
Build and manage content calendars aligned with client objectives and publishing cadence.
n
Bring proactive content, campaign and platform recommendations to monthly and quarterly reviews.
n
Monitor social media trends and platform changes, identifying relevant opportunities for clients.
n
Contribute creative input before content enters production to reduce unnecessary revisions.
n
Feed insights from your client work back into AGSOCIAL's wider planning and service delivery.
n
Content Creation and Publishing
n
n
Write clear, engaging and on-brand captions and social copy.
n
Create photo and video content personally when required—confident phone-based content skills are welcome.
n
Brief and coordinate photographers, videographers and other creators for work beyond your capacity or skill set.
n
Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
n
Proofread and check factual, visual and brand accuracy before content goes live.
n
Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions within agreed service hours.
n
Reporting and Systems
n
n
Prepare monthly client reports using native platform analytics.
n
Translate performance data into plain-language insights, recommendations and next steps.
n
Keep ClickUp, content trackers and Google Drive accurate and current across every assigned account.
n
Log time consistently to support project and account profitability.
n
Manage multiple accounts, deadlines and priorities without allowing details to fall through the cracks.
n
Collaboration and Communication
n
n
Work closely with AGSOCIAL's Director, social media team and wider creative team.
n
Brief freelance creators, photographers and videographers clearly and constructively.
n
Communicate proactively about deadlines, workload, risks and project progress.
n
Contribute ideas to team brainstorms, campaign planning and AGSOCIAL's own content.
n
Participate actively in team meetings and internal communication channels.
n
Receive feedback constructively and adapt quickly.
n
Professional Conduct and Accountability
n
n
Demonstrate initiative and take ownership of client work from planning through to delivery.
n
Maintain professionalism during client meetings, regional travel, shoots and industry events.
n
Raise problems early rather than absorbing them silently.
n
Balance creative thinking with accuracy, deadlines, budgets and commercial priorities.
n
Represent AGSOCIAL respectfully across agricultural and regional communities.
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
Demonstrated experience managing client relationships in an agency or comparable client-facing environment.
n
Hands-on experience creating, scheduling and managing content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
n
Solid written communication and copywriting skills.
n
Confident, professional verbal communication.
n
The ability to manage several client accounts, calendars and deadlines concurrently.
n
Basic photography and video capture skills—phone-based content is suitable, as this is not a specialist videographer role.
n
Experience interpreting social media analytics and preparing client-friendly reports.
n
A calm, proactive approach to managing challenges and raising issues early.
n
Strong organisation, attention to detail and respect for systems and processes.
n
A genuine interest in rural, regional and agricultural Australia.
n
A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake frequent regional travel and long-distance driving.
n
Agency experience and previous work with agricultural, regional or rural clients will be highly regarded.
n
Travel and Working Arrangements
n
This role includes regular travel across regional Western Australia for farm visits, client meetings, content shoots and industry events. Overnight travel will sometimes be required.
n
There may occasionally be a client message, event or shoot outside standard working hours. We want to establish clear and sustainable expectations with the successful applicant rather than leaving those boundaries undefined.
