Electrical Engineer– Building Services

Salary:$110,000 - $130,000 + Super

The Chance An established and growing building services contractor is looking for anElectrical Engineerto join their Melbourne team, based inFairfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with aBuilding Services / Electrical Designbackground to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, includingDefence, commercial and critical infrastructure environments.
You'll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept through to construction, working closely with clients, project teams, consultants and other engineering disciplines.
The Role Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and deliveringelectrical building services designsacross commercial, Defence and critical projects.
Producing electrical schematics, layouts, single-line diagrams, specifications and associated engineering documentation.
Undertaking electrical calculations, load assessments and equipment selections.
Coordinating electrical designs with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and other building services disciplines.
Working closely with project managers, designers, BIM teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure designs are practical and constructible.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.
Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle,



including construction and commissioning.
Contributing to design reviews, value engineering and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
About You You'll ideally have:
A degree inElectrical Engineeringor a related discipline.
Experience inelectrical building services designwithin Australia.
Experience working on projects within one or more ofDefence, commercial, industrial, data centre or other critical environments.
Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and building services requirements.
Experience with electrical design software such asAutoCAD, Revit.
The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project and design teams.
A practical approach to engineering, with an understanding of how designs translate into construction.
