Nova Legal is a specialist corporate law practice based in West Perth. Our Corporate & Commercial team is a close-knit group of seven lawyers, led by two Directors and supported by two Senior Associates, an Associate and two solicitors.

The Role
n
We are seeking a
Senior Corporate & Commercial Lawyer with 4+ years' post-admission experience
to join our Corporate & Commercial team.
n
This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer who wants to work directly with our Directors and senior lawyers, take ownership of matters and develop a strong client-facing practice within a specialist corporate law firm.
n
You will be involved in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:
n
Equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, RTOs and capital raisings
n
Mergers and acquisitions
n
Private equity transactions
n
Corporate governance and advisory work
n
General commercial transactions
n
Strategic advice to ASX-listed and private clients
n
Resources and technology sector matters
n
You will have the opportunity to take a leading role on transactions, manage matters with increasing autonomy and develop direct relationships with clients and other professional advisers.

About You
n
We are looking for a commercially-minded and capable lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career.
n
You will ideally have:
n
An Australian law degree and admission as an Australian lawyer




n
4+ years' post-admission experience
n
Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on the areas of schemes of arrangements, takeovers and ECM (in the ASX environment)
n
Experience working with or advising ASX-listed companies
n
Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills
n
The ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy
n
Robust commercial judgement and attention to detail
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
The confidence to deal directly with clients and other advisers
n
A willingness to take ownership and responsibility for matters
n
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
A collaborative approach and genuine interest in contributing to a close-knit team
n
