The Opportunity n
We're seeking an experienced contract accountant to assist with business and SMSF accounting and tax work. This is a 100% work-from-home role with an immediate start available. The workload is focused on businesses and SMSFs, with only occasional individual tax returns.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships, plus a small number of individuals.
n
Prepare SMSF financial statements, annual returns & audit workpapers.
n
Prepare and review BAS and IAS.
n
Complete tax reconciliations and year-end workpapers.
n




Prepare capital gains tax calculations and Division 7A calculations and reconciliations.
n
Prepare depreciation schedules and other supporting workpapers.
n
Review client accounting records, identify required adjustments and follow up on missing information.
n
About You n
n
Tertiary qualification in accounting and at least three years' experience in public practice.
n
Hands‐on experience with business tax and SMSF compliance.
n
Proficiency in Xero and Xero Tax; experience with SuperMate for SMSF.
n
Able to manage your workload independently and communicate clearly with a remote team.
n
