Disability Support Worker - Geelong | Bannockburn & Inverleigh | Thursday-Saturday | 8am-8pm | Immediate Start
Responsibilities n

Personal care, including toileting and showering assistance
n
Meal preparation, cooking and cleaning
n
Community access and engagement
n
Manual handling and mobility support
n
Medication assistance
n
Supporting daily routines and activities
n
Providing emotional and social support
n
Following individual care plans and support strategies
n
Supporting clients with behaviours of concern in a calm, qualified and person-centred manner
n
About The Candidate n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DSW who is confident working with complex support needs, behaviours of concern and children.
n
* Start: Immediate start preferred
n
n
Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker
n
Manual Handling: Current Manual Handling training and practical experience required
n
Specialist experience:



Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern is essential
n
Client group: Must be comfortable and confident working with children, * An experienced Disability Support Worker with 3+ years' experience
n
Confident supporting clients with complex needs
n
Experienced working with behaviours of concern
n
Comfortable working with children
n
Trained and experienced in Manual Handling
n
Enthusiastic, reliable and
compassionateStrong
in person-centred care
n
Patient, calm and confident in challenging situations
n
Available to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a minimum of 3 days' availability
n
