Our client is a Regional Queensland Council supporting a remote outback community. The organisation delivers essential services and infrastructure while maintaining a strong focus on sustainable community outcomes.
The Prospect n
An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Records & Administration Officer to support the Council's records management and general administration functions. This is a casual contract commencing as soon as possible with an expected end date of 18th of December ****.

Daily responsibilities are expected to include:

Registering and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence
n
Maintaining accurate electronic and hard-copy Council records
n
Classifying, filing, retrieving and archiving documents
n
Capturing documents within the Council's records management system
n
Assisting with document scanning, data entry and records searches
n
Preparing correspondence, reports and general administrative documents
n
Responding to internal records and information requests
n




Handling sensitive information with accuracy and confidentiality
n
About You n
Recent Local Government experience is essential. You will have practical records management and administration experience, strong attention to detail and confidence using electronic document and records management systems.
n
You will be organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities while working effectively in a remote regional environment.
What's On Offer n
This is an immediate short-term contract through to 18 December ****. Accommodation in addition to travel to and from the community will be covered by the Council. Any extension will depend on Council requirements and will be advised in advance.
