About Cairns Health Centre n
Cairns Health Centre is located at HMAS Cairns, on the northern shore of Trinity Inlet and close to the CBD of Cairns. Members mainly conduct border controls and responsibility extending from Rockhampton to Thursday Island, providing maintenance, logistic and administrative support for Cairns fleet-based units. The base is home to approximately **** Navy and civilian personnel providing primary medical, underwater medicine, dental, nursing, and mental health services. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements,



and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.

Working Monday to Thursday **** to **** onsite delivering high-quality mental health care to Defence members
n
Conductingfitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
n
Undertaking assessments, interventions, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
n
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentwhere patientwellness is paramount
n
What You Bring n
n
Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a Psychologist
n
Minimum two years' Post Graduate experience within last five yearsin mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
n
Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' and 'Psychological Therapy' as per Medicare Schedule
n
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
n
Australian
Citizenshiprequiredfor
Baseline Security Clearance
n
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
