What we're looking for:
n




Trade Qualification
:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related Engineering Degree
n
At least 5 years professional experience as a design engineer of mechanical
components/assemblies,
working from concept to manufacture
n
n
Technical experience
:
n
n
Demonstrable experience in designing machinery
n
Advanced experience with a 3D modelling package (ideally Solidworks)
n
Strong understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing, thorough knowledge of AS****
n
Functional experience with Finite Element Modelling (FEA)
n
Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as part of a team.
n
Strong computing skills in the Microsoft Suite and other applicable design software as required for the role.
n
Excellent communicator,both written and verbal.
n
Varied experience in designing for a range of manufacturing methods (e.g., machining,
fabrication/welding,
assembly, and surface treatments)
n
n
In addition to the above, you must be able to
n
n
Pass a pre-employment, medical including drug and alcohol screening
n
Provide GTE with 2 professional references (following interview)
n
