The Opportunity
n
nWorking alongside the Clinical Director – Women's & Children's Services, you will provide clinical and strategic leadership across Obstetrics and Gynaecology while continuing to deliver specialist care.n




nYou will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of the service, support workforce and service development, mentor junior doctors and trainees, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.n
nThe established O&G; service offers:n

Approximately
1,000 births annually
n
Level 4 maternity service
n
Level 4 neonatal service
n
8-bed Intensive Care Unit
n
Experienced midwifery workforce and highly regarded
Midwifery Group Practice
n
Established antenatal and gynaecology services
n
Gynaecological surgery including
laparoscopy and colposcopy
n
RANZCOG-accredited training positions, including
FRANZCOG core trainees
n
Advanced Proceduralist trainees
n
Strong teaching and continuing professional development culture
n
Close links with the
University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School
n
Approximately
1:5 after-hours on-call roster
n

Who We're Looking For
n
nWe would particularly like to hear from experienced Obstetricians & Gynaecologists with:n
n
Specialist qualifications in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
n
Broad contemporary O&G; experience
n
Strong communication and multidisciplinary team skills
n
An interest in clinical leadership, education and service development
n
Specialist registration with Ahpra, or eligibility to obtain appropriate Australian medical registration
n
Applications from suitably qualified
international specialists considering relocation to Australia are welcomed
, including UK, Irish and other internationally trained Consultant Obstetricians & Gynaecologists who may be eligible for an Australian specialist registration pathway.n
Fixed-term appointment – up to three years | Full-time, with hours potentially negotiable
