Yarraville Club is one of Melbourne's leading community clubs, delivering high-quality dining experiences across our bistro, functions, events and member offerings. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen team and play a key leadership role in our culinary operations.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will assist in leading a passionate team while maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency and kitchen standards.
What You'll Be Doing n

Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations
n
n
Leading and mentoring kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service
n
n
Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials
n
n
Managing food preparation, service, stock control and ordering
n
n
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
n
n
Helping drive a positive and professional kitchen culture
n
n
Ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency during busy service periods
n
About You n
n
n
Previous experience in a senior role
n
n




Strong leadership and team development skills
n
n
Experience in high-volume food service environments
n
n
Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
n
n
Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
n
n
Passion for delivering outstanding food and guest experiences
n
n
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
