The Opportunity
A well-established Australian manufacturer based in Melbourne's northern suburbs is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for a temporary assignment over the busy lead-up to Christmas.
This is a high-volume, process-driven role supporting both production and general purchasing, working alongside a Senior Purchasing Officer and reporting to the Purchasing Manager.
What you will be doing
Raising and managing a high volume of purchase orders in SAP
Goods receipting and keeping stock records accurate
Supporting production purchasing as well as general and indirect purchasing
Coordinating transport and freight related activity
Processing paperless documentation through Concur
Liaising with suppliers and the offshore finance team to resolve queries
Accurate data entry with a strong eye for detail




What you will bring
Recent hands-on SAP experience (essential)
Background in a purchasing, procurement or ordering role
Experience in a product-based business such as manufacturing, wholesale or distribution
Fast and accurate keyboard skills
Comfortable in a high-volume, processing-focused workplace
Available immediately or on short notice
