Lead Mechanical / Piping Designer n
nAn established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical / Piping Designer to join its Perth-based team.n
nWorking across a major minerals processing project, you will lead design and drafting activities from early concept development through to detailed design and construction-ready deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams while mentoring and supporting designers across the project lifecycle.n
nKey responsibilitiesn
n
Lead and manage mechanical and piping design activities across the project
n
Develop and review plant layouts, piping arrangements and equipment models
n
Coordinate with process, electrical, structural and project engineering teams
n
Review drawings, 3D models and design deliverables to ensure quality and constructability
n
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to designers and drafting personnel
n
Support engineering teams through all project phases from concept design to detailed delivery
n
About youn
n
Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering Design or a related discipline is desirable
n
Proven experience delivering mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial projects
n




Previous experience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities in a project environment
n
