Job Description
Southcare Medical Centre is currently looking to employ a suitably qualified, caring, Practice Nurse to join our team of dedicated doctors and support staff to ensure a smooth and efficiently functioning practice while providing an exceptional standard of care to our patients.

Initially the position will be Casual hours covering 3-4 days and Saturday mornings, with the possibility of more hours in the future.
Key responsibilities n
n
Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to best available evidence
n
Triage, immunisations, child immunisations and other injections
n
Wound management and dressings
n
Chronic disease management and assisting with management plans
n
ECGs and spirometry
n
Performing BSL and INR tests
n
Medical assessments and set up and assisting with surgical procedures
n
Cervical screening tests (if applicable)
n
Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services,



networking with other providers, planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy
n
About you n
n
Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
n
Current qualified indemnity insurance
n
Current driver's licence
n
Current vaccination record and up to date vaccinations
n
Current CPR certificate and 3 yearly update of this
n
Maintain CPD as per your registration
n
Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs
n
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all ages and social groups
n
Ability to work cooperatively and independently and the ability to prioritise and organise
n
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
