Salary - £35,000 per annum pro rata'd plus an international Suppliment
n
St Helena has lower tax rates and offers pension contribution!

Accommodation found for you (the international suppliment will cover costs of accommodation any bills etc)
n
Main Duties:
n
n
Undertake routine laboratory techniques in line with department's standard operating procedures.
n
Record information on the pathology computer system and ensure it complies with national and local data standards.
n
Assess,



initiate and monitor appropriate action when a situation may compromise service delivery.
n
Communicate results as appropriate.
n
Liaise with clinical staff to ensure optimal service delivery.
n
Undertake routine operative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
n
n
Honours Degree in Biomedical Sciences (or equivalent)
n
Current Registration as a Biomedical Scientist with HCPC
n
At least 5 years post HCPC registration
n
Evidence of participation in mandatory courses and CPD
n
Competent in routine laboratory techniques and troubleshooting
n
Experience in the disciplines of Blood Sciences and Transfusion
n
Experience with a computerised laboratory information system
n
Phlebotomy practical experience
n
Competent in routine laboratory techniques and troubleshooting
n
Current Driving License & Right to work in the UK
