Job Description
Full-time - Cake Decorator - Altona North location n
Key responsibilities
n
Check production schedule for daily cake needs
n
Operate commercial mixing machines and equipment safely and in line with operating procedures
n
Complete quality assurance checks on custom orders and shop stock
n
Clean commercial baking equipment and benches
n
Ensure all food preparation areas are cleaned at end of each shift
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling, and report any hazards or incidents promptly
n
About you
n
Minimum 1 year experience in cake decorating
n
Ability to hand pipe and be proficient in using a piping bag efficiently
n
Minimum 1 year experience in commercial baking or kitchen environment
n
Proactive person who is all about baking and icing the best cakes and cupcakes possible
n
Ability to work in a rapid paced team environment
n




Willingness to support other team members in a close knit environment
n
Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene
n
A safety first mindset, with a commitment to keeping yourself and your team safe at work
n
Pastry and/or Chef qualifications preferred but not essential
n
