nREQUIREMENTS n
nBoilermaker/Welder
Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade) or Above n
n3-4 Years minimum work experience n a similar role n
n
nDESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: n
nConfined Spaces n
nWorking at Heights n
nForklift License n
nExperience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential. n
nForklift license desirable n
nOn the job training will be provided. n
n
nJOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES n
nReporting directly to your workshop/area supervisor you will be required to work autonomously and within a manufacturing team to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components. n
n• Assemble and install metal pipes and pipe fittings for stainless and carbon steel projects n
n• Use clamps, brackets, and hangers to secure pipes to structures n
n• Remove slags and rough spots from workpieces by operating grinders or scrapers to ensure smooth work surface n
n• Employ your knowledge of metallurgy to determine materials and equipment most suitable for a welding project • Clean and prepare n
nworkpieces using chemical solutions etc. to remove foreign matter such as grease, rust etc.



n
n• Use heating furnaces to preheat metal pipes prior to welding or bending n
n• Cut and shape metal components to set specifications using powersaws, chipping knives or other hand tools n
n• Fill holes, cracks, and dents on metal workpieces or pipe products n
n• Use micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments to check gap allowances, grooves or angles n
n• Assemble metal and non-metal pipes and pipe fitting using threading machine n
n• Control and turn valves or regulators to adjust flames and ensure proper use of welding gas n
n• Wear appropriate protective gear and ensure compliance with established health/safety regulations n
nExperience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential. n
nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE n
nThe position offers immediate start working with our rapid-paced team and would require the successful candidates to possess the following essential qualifications. n
nBoilermaker/Welder
Trade Certificate n
nMild steel, Aluminium or Stainless-Steel welding experience n
nAbility to read drawings & mark out your own jobs n
nConstruction Industry White Card n
nConstruction/manufacturing
experience n
n
nATTRIBUTES n
nPhysically fit and enjoy working both indoors and out n
nAbility to work in a team environment n
nAble to follow directions and instructions from area supervisors and managers n
nPractical knowledge of WHS
