Job Description
Hands-on delivery of high-quality events from set-up through to pack-down, ensuring each event runs safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed client brief. This role works closely with the Venue & Events Manager, suppliers, and venue stakeholders to create a professional, seamless and welcoming experience.
Key responsibilities n
n
Confirm event requirements, schedules, floor plans, equipment, catering arrangements and supplier access before each event, and communicate updates clearly to all relevant parties
n
Support venue set-up, service delivery, event transitions and pack-down, checking that presentation, timing, safety and guest-service standards are consistently met
n
Provide clear, confident and respectful direction to event and hospitality staff, conduct briefings and maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers and venue stakeholders
n
Manage complaints, conflict and operational disruptions promptly and professionally, escalating significant matters where appropriate and documenting relevant outcomes
n
Anticipate operational risks, think quickly under pressure and implement practical,



solutions-focused responses that minimise disruption to the event and guest experience
n
Monitor service standards, presentation, cleanliness and compliance with workplace health and safety, responsible service and venue procedures
n
Act as an on-site point of contact, responding to guest and client needs and resolving issues while maintaining a calm, professional presence throughout events
n
About you n
n
Demonstrated experience in event operations, hospitality or food and beverage service, with a strong understanding of venue presentation, service standards, event timing and operational workflows
n
Proven front-of-house experience and confidence acting as an on-site point of contact
n
Present professionally, remain composed in a quick-paced environment and demonstrate reliability, initiative, attention to detail and a strong customer-service focus
n
Available for event-based hours, which will include evenings and weekends
n
Comfortable undertaking hands‐on duties such as moving event equipment and remaining on your feet for extended periods, subject to reasonable workplace adjustments
