Your Opportunity n
Working under the supervision of the Canteen Team Leader, the Barista/Canteen Assistant plays a hands-on role in cooking, cleaning, and customer service. The role also includes operating a daily barista service to staff and visitors before school and during school hours. Our School Canteen operates 5 days per week, and this role is a
9 day fortnight
(Mon-Fri one week and Mon-Thurs alternative week) during
School Term Time
, including Student Free days as working days.

As the Barista / Canteen Assistant you will:
n
n
prepare and serve hot and cold drinks,



such as coffee and other specialty drinks (Barista
experience/qualified
is essential)
n
assist with food preparation (including cooking) for a range of hot and cold food
n
provide excellent customer service in the offer and sale of food and beverages
n
assist with cleaning of food preparation and service areas, as well as maintaining a culture of safety and hygiene
n
other jobs to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the canteen
n
Qualifications and Skills n
n
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role
n
Barista qualified (at least 2 years' experience & ability to demonstrate coffee making skills at interview)
n
Experience with POS systems & EFTPOS
n
n
