We are currently seeking an experienced
Senior Security Operations Engineer
to support a major
Australian financial services organisation
on an initial 6 month engagement.

About the Role
n
This is a hands-on, project-focused security role requiring a strong
SOC background
, particularly
Splunk detection engineering
, combined with broader security engineering capability.
n
You will bring an operational security lens to several key security initiatives and help ensure solutions integrate effectively with existing monitoring, detection and response processes.
n
Key Responsibilities

Splunk detection engineering and security monitoring
n
Support
Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)
initiatives
n
Support
Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
initiatives
n
Develop and improve vulnerability management and remediation processes
n
Develop and refine vulnerability remediation escalation processes
n




Ensure security initiatives are operationally practical
n
Support effective integration with SOC monitoring, detection and response processes
n

About You
n
You will be an experienced security professional who can combine solid technical capability with sound operational judgement and clear communication.
