Job Description
Moss Enterprises is seeking a Textile Designer to join our Collingwood design studio. In this full-time, office-based role, you'll work alongside our Designer to create commercially viable prints, weaves and jacquards for our premium bedding and soft furnishings range.

It's a hands-on role in a small studio, so you'll be involved across the full design and development process, from concept through to production, creating products for customers in Australia and overseas.
What you'll be doing n
n
Research fashion, interiors and colour trends to inform new concepts and collections
n
Create original textile designs, including prints, weaves and jacquards
n
Prepare artwork, repeats, colourways and CADs ready for sampling and production
n
Maintain detailed design documentation and work closely with our offshore factory teams and production team through manufacturing
n
Manage samples, lab dips and approvals
n
Work with customers and buyers to create products aligned to their brand identity
n
What we're looking for n
n
Degree in Textile Design, a related creative field, or equivalent work experience
n
3+ years' experience as a Textile Designer, ideally in homewares
n
Strong skills in Photoshop and Illustrator, including repeats and colourways; hand-drawing skills a bonus
n




Knowledge of textile materials, production processes and trends; experience with wovens preferred but not essential
n
Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of design for manufacturing
n
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
Experience working with offshore factories preferred
n
Australian work authorisation is required for this position
