Qualified Baker – Piehole (Cessnock and Nulkada)

Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, which will include shifts from 4 AM to 12:00PM.

This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.
n

Piehole is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.
Key Responsibilities n
Preparation and production of quality bakery products. Training will be provided for recipe.
n
Inspect equipment and premisesbefore production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
n
Evaluate raw materials and weigh ingredientsto maintain quality standards.
n
Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould, and shapedough and pastry goods.
n
Prepare pastry fillingsfor various baked products.
n
Operate machinesfor rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
n




Monitor oven temperatures and product appearanceto determine optimal baking times.
n
Coordinate the forming, baking, cooling, and de-panningof bread, rolls, and pastry batches.
n
Glaze buns and pastriesand decorate cakes with icing or cream.
n
Clean, grease, and empty baking trays, tins, and equipmentafter use.
To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria. n
Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4am)
n
Work in a quick-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
n
Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
n
Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department
n
Applicants with Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
