About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a sonographer looking to work autonomously in a dynamic acute hospital environment, with exposure to a diverse range of clinical presentations.
Lumus Imaging at Northern Beaches hospital provides a comprehensive 24/7 medical imaging service.
The role offers a varied clinical caseload across the Emergency Department, main hospital imaging department including some out of hours outpatient services, providing an engaging and rewarding working environment.
We welcome applications from candidates seeking either part time or casual employment across daytime weekend shifts that fall between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
On call opportunities are also available if desired.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Qualifications and registration: Relevant tertiary qualifications in sonography and current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
Clinical experience: Proficiency across a broad range of examinations, including general, vascular, breast, obstetric and paediatric sonography, with a strong focus on diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care.
Commitment to excellence: A demonstrated commitment to high-quality imaging, patient‐centred care, efficient workflow and ongoing professional development.
Teamwork and communication: The ability to collaborate effectively within a complex multidisciplinary team, while also working confidently and independently.
Clinical judgement: Strong communication, problem‐solving and decision‐making skills, with the ability to manage varied clinical presentations and recognise when escalation is necessary.
