Zinlow Group is a Victorian fencing and gates contractor delivering commercial, industrial, construction and infrastructure projects. With in-house fabrication and installation teams, we rely on an organised warehouse and yard to keep our projects moving.
About the role
We are looking for a reliable, organised Warehouse Assistant to work alongside and support our Warehouse & Logistics Manager at our Dandenong South warehouse.
This is a hands-on physical role in a busy, fast-paced environment, where priorities can change as we respond to project and site requirements. Your main focus will be helping the Manager keep daily warehouse, yard and delivery activities running smoothly—from preparing materials and loading vehicles to receiving deliveries and keeping the yard organised.
You will need to be comfortable moving between tasks, following direction and taking initiative to help get the job done. Good communication, attention to detail and a safe approach to work are essential, particularly when things get busy.
What you will do
Support the Warehouse & Logistics Manager with daily tasks and changing priorities.
Drive company vehicles, including our HR truck, to collect materials from suppliers and deliver materials, tools and equipment to project sites.
Make regular supplier pickups,
site deliveries and other collections throughout the day.
Load, unload and check materials, ensuring loads are safely secured for transport.
Pick and prepare materials, tools and equipment for upcoming works.
Receive and put away deliveries, check equipment returns and assist with stocktakes.
Keep the Manager updated on delivery progress, shortages or delays.
Help keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe and organised.
What you will bring
A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver licence (highly desirable)
You must be able and licensed to drive manual vehicles.
A current forklift licence is desirable.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
A reliable, practical approach and willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to safely carry out the physical duties of the role, using appropriate handling methods and equipment.
A robust focus on safety and the right to work in Australia.
Previous warehouse, logistics or construction materials experience would be an advantage.
Zinlow Group is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, with particular encouragement for Women and Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander candidates.
