Job Description
Reporting to the business owner, you will manage the store's day-to-day operations, supervise the team and maintain consistent standards of food quality, customer service and workplace safety. This is a hands-on management role in a busy food service environment.
Key responsibilities n

Plan, organise and oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
n
Supervise kitchen and counter staff, allocate duties and coordinate service during busy periods.
n
Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing levels to meet customer demand and operating budgets.
n
Recruit, train and support team members, monitor performance and communicate workplace procedures.
n
Oversee food preparation, portion control, presentation and order accuracy to maintain consistent standards.
n
Monitor stock levels, place orders, check deliveries and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
n
Monitor sales, labour costs and food costs, and report store performance to the owner.
n
Manage point-of-sale procedures, cash handling and daily reconciliation.
n




Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
n
Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleaning and work health and safety procedures and records.
n
About you n
n
Previous management or supervisory experience in a quick food, takeaway or similar food service business.
n
Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate service in a busy environment.
n
Experience with staff rostering, stock control, ordering and cash handling.
n
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety practices.
n
Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to monitor operating costs and maintain product and service standards.
n
Availability to work a roster that includes early starts, evenings and weekends as required.
n
Relevant hospitality or management qualifications are desirable.
