The Chance We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events Team Leader to join us for a 3 month Fixed Term contract position to support the successful delivery of events across Canterbury's Food and Beverage operations.
You will oversee event setup, service delivery and pack-down, while guiding and supporting team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate event setups, service delivery, changeovers and pack-down to ensure functions run smoothly and meet client expectations.
Lead, support and motivate event staff, allocate duties,



provide on-the-job training and maintain high service standards.
Liaise with clients and event organisers, respond to enquiries and resolve operational issues professionally.
Review event run sheets, function requirements, room layouts and menus to ensure all operational details are communicated and delivered effectively.
Oversee food and beverage operations, ensuring service quality, accurate orders and compliance with dietary and allergen requirements.
Monitor labour, stock usage, wastage and consumables to support cost control and operational efficiency.
Promote a safe working environment by ensuring food safety, WHS procedures and relevant RSA requirements are followed.
Maintain accurate records, complete shift handovers and report incidents, equipment issues and operational concerns to management.
Identify opportunities to improve event delivery, team performance, customer satisfaction and overall operational efficiency.
