Cook – Noble Park Kogan People Solutions is working with a popular local Indian restaurant in Noble Park, Victoria.
The restaurant serves authentic North Indian/ Punjabi style dhaba-style food and is known for its tandoor dishes, curries and freshly made breads.
With a busy kitchen and a strong focus on fresh, consistently high-quality food, the restaurant wants to strengthen its kitchen team.
It is now seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join on a full-time, ongoing basis.
Location: Noble Park Salary: Negotiable in the range $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum Responsibilities of their new Cook will include: Preparing high-standard meals, including tandoor-cooked meats, breads and regional curries, and carrying out quality control (checks of raw materials and temperature controls).
Preparing marinades, spice blends, gravies and sauces to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
Ensuring compliance with the HACCP system for food handling by strictly following food safety logs, temperature checks and hygiene protocols.
Portioning and plating food in line with company policy and procedures.
Storing food hygienically in refrigerators and dry storage and helping with stock rotation and ordering.
Training kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

You can work independently and as part of a team, and you communicate well.
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and keep up to date with techniques and food trends.
You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.
To be successfully considered for the role you: Have a relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.
Are available across the working week, including evenings and weekends.
Have proven ability to prioritise, set goals and see them through.
Have a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
Have experience cooking Indian cuisine, including tandoor cooking, in a similar skilled kitchen.
You must have unrestricted Australian working rights to apply.
