Water Service Operator – Mallee (Birchip)




An exciting opportunity exists for a Water Services Operator based in Birchip.
The position forms part of the Mallee Service Delivery team and is responsible for operating, maintaining and monitoring water and wastewater systems and assets to ensure reliable service delivery to our communities.
The successful applicant will undertake a variety of operational activities across the Mallee region, including responding to faults and service interruptions, maintaining infrastructure, conducting water and wastewater sampling, undertaking inspections and supporting emergency response activities.
Participation in an after-hours duty roster is required.
The position will be required to undertake duties throughout the Mallee region and may occasionally assist in other GWMWater operational regions.
The successful applicant will also be required to complete a Certificate III in Water Operations if not already qualified.
