Australia's energy market is changing fast — and we're creating the market infrastructure that is powering the renewable transition. TOD Markets operates a regulated electronic marketplace for wholesale electricity trading across the National Electricity Market (NEM), supporting renewable energy projects and helping participants discover prices, manage risk and execute trades in real time.

This is an exciting, dynamic, customer facing role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with your clients - the traders and analysts working on the front desk at utilities, wind and solar farms. banks and financial institutions; while learning directly from experienced market professionals in a supportive environment.
You bring the people skills and we'll give you the technical skills and support you on your journey. We work closely together, we support learning across the business and give team members meaningful responsibility early in their careers. As a Junior Relationship Manager (Energy Broker) you will:
Actively engage with clients, building rapport and connection, and discover their trading requirements
Support your clients in pricing, negotiating and entering into electricity derivative transactions (both buying and selling)
Monitor live market activity and provide clients with timely market updates and trading insights
Learn from senior brokers to develop your negotiation and market analysis skills
Build and maintain your professional network across the market through industry events, training and networking
Contribute to a growing business at the intersection of the energy transition, technology and financial markets

Key Responsibilities
Client Service
Build quality relationships with our clients
Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced workplace
Maintain accurate records and learn and follow the sales process
Order Book & Market Oversight
Monitor the customer order book and identify any trading opportunities
Flag irregular or suspicious activity and elevate where required in line with market rules
Market Analysis & Insight
Track current market prices and key market drivers (significant weather and market news)




Contribute to concise daily and weekly market commentary for internal and client distribution
Compliance & Risk Support
Operate carefully in accordance with the market rules and regulatory requirements
Support market surveillance, record-keeping and audit processes in conjunction with Compliance
About You
We're after someone who brings the energy (pun intended), goes above and beyond, is passionate about service and is eager to learn. If you've already worked with customers, you've learned how to read all types of people, stay calm under pressure and make every client feel genuinely looked after. That's the foundation we're after and we'll teach you the rest.
You'll bring:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence working in a fast-moving environment
A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Interest in people - how different personalities make significant decisions under pressure and how they tick
Experience that's helpful but not essential:
Microsoft Excel or data analysis skills
RG146 (if you've worked in finance before)
Any exposure to renewable energy or financial markets
Any understanding of the electricity market
