Looking for an assistant groom to work in a small team for a boutique eventing yard 2 hours south of Sydney.

Position will involve working with horses ranging from established Eventers to foals. Duties will be all the normal yard duties, mucking out, grooming, tacking up, rugging, feeding, on a daily basis. Also there is a bit of rehab work using therapeutic equipment and a water walker, so sound equine musculoskeletal knowledge is a plus.

Occasionally the applicant will be left in sole charge of the property, so basic veterinary care knowledge is significant. Applicant must have a full driving license and also be competent with quad bikes and other forms of light machinery.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, hard working, capable and competent around horses, tidy and fun and LOVES dogs & cats.



Some riding may be available but is not guaranteed. Potential to maybe bring own horse.

The job meets the requirements for 2nd year extensions for Work Holiday Visas. Job does not include ticket to Australia. Job has 2 week trial period.

Applicants must have Full license and potentially be up for purchasing a vehicle as location is not near public transport.

The package includes accommodation in a 3 bedroomed shared flat with two cats (don't apply if you don't like cats)

Hours - 5 days a week and includes some weekends
