Brook Recruitment

Melbourne

Our client is a respected Melbourne property group whose history in the Australian market goes back to the 1960s. They invest in, manage and develop high-quality assets, and they do business on the basis of creating long-term relationships, respect, loyalty and trust. They look after their people the same way.

They are now looking for an experienced Executive Assistant & Bookkeeper to become the organised, dependable centre of their CBD office. It suits someone who takes real pride in doing things properly and wants a business they can settle into for the long term.

The Role
You will be the trusted right hand to the Managing Director and the person who keeps the whole office running smoothly. Your week will combine:

- Diary and inbox management: coordinating multiple calendars, with the Managing Director’s diary your first priority
- Office management: taking care of everything that keeps the office running well, from managing suppliers to coordinating team events
- Bookkeeping: this role also has a bookkeeping aspect which combines accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and reporting across the Group and its property interests
- Property file management: running property files from set up through to archiving, within their well-established systems

The systems are already in place, so you won’t be asked to reinvent anything. Your strength will be keeping them accurate and well maintained. When the executive side is quieter, your attention moves to the books,

keeping you busy throughout your week.

About You

- Solid experience in either executive support, office management or bookkeeping
- Exceptionally organised, with a real eye for detail and a love of a well-kept filing system
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, MYOB experience is advantageous
- Experience in a small business where you covered a variety of work
- Property or property management experience will be highly regarded
- Polished, professional and personable, with a warm way of communicating and a liking for being part of a close team
- Calm and composed, and you value a measured, considered pace of work

If you are an accomplished EA keen to build on the finance side, training is available. An experienced bookkeeper looking for a broader, more varied role would be equally welcome.

What’s On Offer

- $95,000 to $100,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
- 4 full days per week, with flexibility to discuss 4.5 or 5 days
- Standard office hours of 9am to 5pm
- A dedicated car space in the Melbourne CBD
- A settled, professional office where experience and reliability are valued
- Real trust, ownership of your role and a close working relationship with the leadership team
- A long-term role with a business that values continuity
