nExperienced Social Worker required for this NT service. This is a remote 60 bed hospital. The service requires high level skills and demonstrated cultural competence working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population. There is a high incidence of domestic and family violence, child neglect and abuse reporting and statutory child removal. n

nTo be considered, you will have:n
n n
n

n
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work that meets membership eligibility requirements of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
n
- Experience in acute hospitals, including emergency department and general medicine wards
n
- Experience in contemporary DFSV intervention, risk assessment and safety planning in regional and remote context.
n
- Proven ability to independently plan and prioritise a high-volume complex workload within an ever changing work environment.
n
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts, on call (penalty rates apply)
n
- This role is NOT suitable for new graduates or candidates who don't have PAID hospital experience
n

nCases include:n

- Sexual violence
n
- ED presentations
n
- Crisis response (adults and paediatrics)
n
- Guardianship
n
- Advocacy
n
- NDIS applications
n
- Inpatients only – ED, acute wards – general medical, surgical, palliative care,



rehabilitation, maternity and paediatrics
n
- You must have strong crisis response and experience with victims of domestic and sexual violence
n
- Join a team of clinicians at different levels from Director, Team leaders, SWs, DTs, OTs, PTs, SPs, AHAs, ALOs, Admin
n

You must have relevant experience. n
This role requires you to be eligible for AASW membership n
Overseas trained Social Workers, please do not respond unless your qualifications have been assessed by the AASW n

nLocum rates up to $75 per hour + super dependent on experience. Potential for living away from home advantages (more take home pay, usually $5-6 dollars more an hour!).n
