Located at 214 Silverwater Road, Silverwater Hotel is part of the Marlow Hotel Group, offering bistro dining, live entertainment and spaces for private functions and celebrations. The menu features charcoal-grilled steaks, classic pub favourites, pizzas and pastas, catering to a broad range of guests.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. This role suits someone passionate about quality food who can deliver consistent results in a busy kitchen.

Major duties and responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present dishes according to established recipes, menus and presentation standards.
- Assist with planning menus and developing seasonal dishes and daily specials.
- Estimate food and ingredient requirements and assist with ordering and food cost control.
- Inspect deliveries and ingredients to ensure freshness, quality and correct storage.
- Organise daily preparation and manage your allocated section throughout service.
- Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation.
- Prepare meals for guests with dietary requirements, following appropriate allergen procedures.




- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist with preparing and delivering food for functions and events.
- Maintain stock rotation, control portion sizes and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with training and supervising junior kitchen staff as required.

Skills and experience

- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications.
- Previous experience as a Chef in a pub, restaurant or similar dining environment.
- Sound knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen operations.
- Solid organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Salary: $76K - $81K plus super
