SEQ Pipe Works is a growing specialist plumbing and pipe relining business servicing the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

n

We are now looking for an Operations Manager to become a key part of our business and help take us to the next stage of growth.

The Prospect n

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being involved, solving problems and making things happen .

n

You won't be sitting on the sidelines simply managing a process. Working closely with the Director and field team, you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence how the business operates, improve efficiency and profitability, develop better systems and help drive growth.

n

One day you might be coordinating the day's jobs and solving a scheduling issue; the next you could be meeting with a commercial client, following up a major quote, reviewing job profitability, negotiating with a supplier or working on a strategy to grow our pipe relining and high-rise work.

n

If you see something that isn't working, we want you to fix it — not just tell us about it.

What You'll Be Doing n

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the business, including:

n

Managing scheduling, job allocation and workflow across the field team.

n

Ensuring jobs run efficiently from enquiry through to completion.

n

Managing customer enquiries, bookings, quotations and follow-ups.

n

Building strong relationships with customers, property managers, Body Corporates, strata and commercial clients.

n

Identifying additional work and sales opportunities.

n

Managing invoicing, payments and financial administration through Xero .

n

Monitoring job performance, costs and profitability.

n

Supporting the field team and maintaining accountability for performance.

n





Managing supplier relationships and looking for opportunities to reduce costs.

n

Monitoring marketing, enquiries and quote conversion.

n

Working with the Director to grow our pipe relining, high-rise, Body Corporate, strata and commercial markets.

n

Improving systems, processes and the way the business operates.

What We're Looking For n

We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and proactive , but just as importantly, someone who takes ownership.

You'll suit this role if you:

Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of the details.

Are comfortable with numbers, quoting, invoicing and financial information.

Can work independently without needing constant direction.

n

Enjoy improving systems and finding better ways to do things.

Are comfortable getting involved wherever you're needed.

n

Want to be part of a growing business rather than simply filling a position.

Experience n

Experience in operations, administration, coordination, management or a similar role is important.

n

Experience in plumbing, drainage, pipe relining, construction, civil works, facilities management or another trade-based business would be highly regarded, but not essential.

n

Experience with Xero, job management software, quoting,



sales or managing field-based teams will also be advantageous.

n

You definitelydon't need to be a plumber . What's important is that you can understand the nature of a trade-based business, communicate effectively with tradespeople and customers, and have the commercial and organisational skills to help keep the business moving and growing.
