LPC Eggs Temora Pty Ltd, part of the LPC Trading group, operates commercial egg production farms and is seeking dependable and proactive Poultry Farm Hands to join our Temora team.

n

This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys practical work, caring for animals and being part of a supportive and safety-focused team.

About the Role n

As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will assist with the daily care and management of our free-range laying hens, helping to ensure high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and farm operations.

n

This is a varied, hands-on role involving the monitoring of hens and egg production systems, cleaning, general farm duties and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Feeding, watering and monitoring the health and welfare of laying hens.
n
- Monitoring egg production and associated equipment.
n
- Conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues with equipment or facilities.
n
- Assisting with cleaning, maintenance and general farm duties.
n
- Maintaining accurate records as required.
n
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient farm operations.
n
- Following all workplace health and safety and biosecurity requirements.
n

About You n

We are looking for people who:

n

- Have a strong work ethic and a reliable approach to work.
n




- Are physically fit and able to undertake tasks involving extended periods of walking, lifting, bending and other physical farm duties.
n
- Can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
n
- Are willing to undertake a variety of farm duties, including cleaning, maintenance and record keeping.
n
- Can follow procedures and understand the importance of consistency in maintaining animal welfare and farm standards.
n
- Have previous poultry or agricultural experience, although this is not essential as training will be provided.
n
- Have the legal right to work in Australia.
n

Biosecurity & Pre-Employment Requirements n

Due to our strict biosecurity requirements, employees must not have birds or pigs at their place of residence. This is a condition of employment.

Applicants must also be willing to successfully complete a pre-employment urine drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.

Other pre-employment checks, including reference checks and a medical assessment, may also form part of the recruitment process.
