Take ownership of estimating across a strong pipeline of structural steel projects.

Diligent Group Australia is partnering with an established Queensland-based construction and engineering business to recruit an experienced Structural Steel Estimator .

n

This is a senior prospect for someone who understands structural steel, can confidently interpret technical drawings and specifications, and knows how to build accurate, commercially sound tenders.

n

With a strong forward pipeline across commercial, civil and infrastructure projects , this role offers excellent remuneration, long-term stability and genuine influence across the tendering process.

Your Role nn
- n





Prepare detailed structural steel estimates and tender submissions

n
- n

Review drawings, specifications and scope documentation

n
- n

Complete material, labour and subcontractor take-offs

n
- n

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing

n
- n

Identify project risks, exclusions and commercial considerations

n
- n

Prepare accurate cost plans and tender documentation

n
- n

Liaise with internal project teams, suppliers and subcontractors

n
- n

Assist with tender handover following project award

n

What We’re Looking For nn
- n

Proven experience estimating structural steel, fabrication or construction projects

n
- n

Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection

n
- n

Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings

n
- n

Strong commercial and numerical capability

n
- n

High attention to detail

n
- n

Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines

n
- n

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

n

n

Australian construction experience will be highly regarded.
