A well-established specialist practice is looking to add an Employment Lawyer to its Brisbane team.

This is a genuinely hands-on role with strong exposure to both advisory and disputes work, offering direct client engagement and the opportunity to build depth across a broad mix of workplace relations matters.

n

You will work closely with experienced practitioners while also having the autonomy to run matters and develop your own client relationships.

n

This role sits within a busy employment and workplace relations practice supporting a diverse client base. The work is varied, practical and commercially focused, with a steady pipeline of matters across both contentious and non-contentious areas.

The Work

You will be involved in:

- Advising on workplace relations and employment law issues

n
n
- Managing disputes including unfair dismissal and general protections claims

n
n
- Supporting and conducting workplace investigations

n
n
- Handling discrimination, harassment and disciplinary matters

n
n
- Advising on compliance, regulatory obligations and risk

n
n
- Assisting with wage compliance and underpayment matters

n
n

n

n

The role combines drafting, strategy, advisory and client management responsibilities.

About You

- 2–4 years’ PQE with a focus on employment/workplace relations

n
n
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law frameworks

n
n
- Solid drafting and analytical skills

n
n
- Commercial, pragmatic approach to legal advice

n
n
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage directly with clients

n
n
- Able to manage matters with increasing independence

n
n
