Job Description

Company : Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd Due to an internal secondment, Hastings Deering is seeking an Equipment Specialist for a 6-month fixed term chance, with the potential of extension. This role is Monday to Friday, with site-based work and one day remote (subject to business needs). We are open to candidates based out of Rockhampton or Townsville.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Build an understanding of customer maintenance and production plans to identify improvement opportunities
n
- Provide customers with technical support and act as their single point of contact for dealer and OEM services
n
- Conduct scheduled inspections to prevent premature failures and costly downtime
n
- Accurately record downtime events in AMT and maintain reliable component forecasts
n
- Capture commercial insights in CRM to support parts and service demand planning
n

About You nn
- 5+ years’ experience in a customer-facing technical role
n
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
n




- Tertiary engineering qualification, relevant trade or equivalent technical expertise
n
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and agility in dynamic environments
n
- Background in mining, mining services or heavy equipment industries
n
- Solid parts product knowledge and familiarity with Caterpillar fleets
n
