About the roles

Motivus Staffing is seeking qualified Chinese Speaking Support Workers to join the team on a Casual basis to start and then transition to part-time or full-time work.

n

n

Weekday shifts are available. However, applicants must be available to work some weekends.

n

n

Applicants are willing to provide some domestic assistance during their available times.

n

n

You will be required to deliver high-quality service within client’s homes by assisting with:

n

n

n
- Domestic assistance (cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, linen, meal prep)
n

n n
- Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, dressing)
n

n n
- Social support (in the client’s home, and outings)
n

n n
- Transport (to appointments, shopping, outings)
n

n n
- Clinical support (medication support and administration, BGL, etc.) Training and RN sign-off is provided.
n

n n
- Respite care (giving carers a break)
n

n n
- These positions require a positive fitness level and can be physically demanding.
n

n

About You – Essential Criteria

n

n
- Have a Certificate III in Aged Care or a similar area / working towards one (Not essential but desired).
n
- Fluency in Mandarin of Cantonese
n

n n
- Passion for working in the aged care industry.
n

n n
- You can demonstrate positivity and, also empathy.
n

n n
- Strong values: anyone working in the sector needs to be ethical and treat people with respect.
n

n n
- Your clients rely on you as a support worker, and being on time for work is essential.
n

n n
- We create schedules to create a fair work environment and to ensure the needs of the clients you are supporting are met.
n

- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work with challenging behaviours (e.g., Dementia).
n

Role Requirements

n

n
- Passion to work for the aged care community. Must understand aged care standards.
n

n n
- Current national police clearance certificate, no older than three months old or willing to obtain.
n

n n
- Australian C class driver’s license, reliable & registered vehicle with car insurance.
n

n n
- Current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain.
n

n n
- Current Manual Handling certificate or willing to obtain.
n

n n
- Willing to undertake clinical training as directed and required.
n
