Job Description

This is a full-time position based in Caboolture, located a short walk to Caboolture Train & Bus Station. You will assist the small accounts team, managing end-to-end payroll and accounting functions for a Registered Training Organisation and Labour Hire Company experiencing rapid growth.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Manage the end-to-end fortnightly Payroll process and related Human Resources matters
n
- Process timesheets, allowances, overtime, deductions, leave and employee changes accurately
n
- Process new starters, terminations and changes to employee conditions
n
- Manage payroll tax calculations, reporting and payments in different states
n
- Prepare and submit required Payroll Tax Returns
n
- General Ledger entries & reconciliations, Bank Accounts, Payments, Receipts, Sales, Debtors, Creditors, End of Period reporting & reconciliations, and sundry matters
n
- Preparation of end of month journals & other general journals
n
- Use of MYOB Account right live
n
- Follow up queries and discrepancies & other action matter items with external accountant firm
n

About you nn
- Formal Business Accounting qualification(s), or part completion
n
- Proficient in MYOB accounting software and MS Office, with intermediate/advance experience in Excel spreadsheets,



pivot tables and data entry
n
- Understanding of balance sheet verification, general ledger entries & accounts reconciliation
n
- Strong reconciliations experience (General ledger, bank, debtors, creditors, payroll related)
n
- Knowledge of all functions of the payroll process especially QLD but also ideally multi states & involving such things as Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation, Superannuation, and a variety of payroll deductions
n
- Experience with a firm of accountants including tax & auditing roles
n
- Experience with MYOB account Right Live
n
- Experience with a Labour Hire Company, or Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
n
- Ability to manage high volume workload with competing priorities
n
- Productive with a strong eye for detail, a positive attitude, ability to work effectively as part of a team, and individually with minimal supervision
