This is a full-time remote role for a Payroll Professional. The Payroll Professional will manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees and apprentices, including time and attendance review, earnings and deductions calculation, and coordination of wage payments.

Key responsibilities n

- Verify payroll data and maintain payroll records
n
- Update employee information and ensure compliance with relevant tax and labour regulations
n
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
n
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support accurate and timely payroll cycles
n
- Assist with reporting, audits, and continuous process improvement to enhance payroll efficiency and reliability
n
About you nn
- Experience with payroll processing systems, timekeeping tools, and basic accounting or bookkeeping practices
n
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholding requirements, and labour laws relevant to multiple modern awards
n
- Solid attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
n
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll information clearly to diverse stakeholders
n
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and financial information responsibly
n
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and office productivity software (e.g., Excel, payroll platforms, HRIS tools)
n
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deadlines
n
- Previous experience working with trade, construction, or apprenticeship programs in a GTO environment is beneficial but not essential
