Saltbean Cafe in Kingscliff is looking for an experienced short order cook or cafe chef to join our team.

We’re a family-owned and run cafe and have been operating for 9 years. We’ve got a good crew, a strong local following and we’re looking for someone reliable who fits in well with the team.

The role

Around 15- 20 hours per week

Daytime hours, generally finished by 1pm

Weekend availability required

Some flexibility around shifts

Friendly, established team

This could suit someone returning to work, looking for fewer hours, balancing family commitments, semi-retired, or simply wanting a cafe role that doesn’t take over your whole week.

What we’re looking for

- Breakfast, cafe or short order cooking experience
- Rapid, clean and organised
- Reliable and calm under pressure
- Good food safety habits
- Good attitude and easy to work with
- Experience matters, but attitude and reliability matter just as much.

Salary:Attractive package will be offered to right candidate
