SkillCentred QueenslandInc. is a small not for profit RTO that has been operating across Queensland providing Industry Training, Employment Assistance and other labour market programs for over35 years.

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor/Mentor to undertake a casual fixed-term contract role that will be based in Maryborough.

The Role

We are looking for experienced candidates to oversee and support hospitality trainees to gain experience in the hospitality industry. In this innovative program trainees will work in ancillary roles in Aged Care Services and with a range of local community organisations. The selected candidate will:

- Lead small teams of trainees
- Deliver hands‑on practical hospitality skills
- Mentor/support trainees and assist with transition to work
- Liaise with community groups to ensure continuity of work and required tasks
- Schedule day-to-day activities, offer trainee support and job search assistance program
- Be available to commence in late October





The Person

We are seeking someone who has:

- Experience and/or willingness to work with unemployed and disadvantaged jobseekers
- Experience and/or willingness to work with a range of stakeholders eg. community groups and job active agencies
- Experience in the hospitality/retail/business sector (a relevant qualification would be looked on favourably)

Although not essential, essential, training and assessor qualifications would be advantageous:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
- Positive understanding of the NVR Standards for RTO's

Remuneration

The pay rate will be commensurate with the formal qualifications, skills and experience.
