HR Truck Driver - Local Pickups & Deliveries

Seymours Transport is seeking an experienced and reliable HR Truck Driver to join our local transport team based in Rocklea.

We are a long-established, family-owned and operated transport company looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

This is a permanent, full-time position involving general freight pickups and deliveries throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.

The role involves more than just driving. You'll be responsible for the safe handling, loading and securing of freight, including load restraint and tarping when required.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Completing local general freight pickups and deliveries throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Operating an HR vehicle safely and professionally.

Ensuring freight is correctly loaded, secured and restrained in accordance with applicable requirements.

Tarping and untarping loads when required.

Conducting vehicle pre-start inspections and reporting any defects or safety concerns.

Completing delivery documentation and associated paperwork accurately.

Communicating professionally with customers, operations staff and other team members.

Maintaining a safe and tidy vehicle and work environment.





What We're Looking For

Current unrestricted HR driver's licence, with the ability to operate a manual gearbox.

Experience operating HR vehicles.

Previous experience in general freight pickups and deliveries.

Sound knowledge of safe loading practices and load restraint requirements.

A robust commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.

Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.

Good knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Previous experience with load restraint and tarping.

Experience completing multidrop pickup and delivery runs.
